Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, MI), 69-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Harrison (Harrison, MI) to play the Hornets in a Jack Pine bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Harrison lost 42-25 in their recent league bout against Shepherd (Shepherd, MI)

Next up, the Beavers play the Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI) in a Jack Pine bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Beaverton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Bluejays come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 42-25 league win over Harrison (Harrison, MI).
