Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Marshall Christian Academy Guardians (Marshall, TX), 46-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bloomburg upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Yantis (Yantis, TX) to play the Owls in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 0-13. Yantis lost 84-26 in their recent league bout against Saltillo (Saltillo, TX)

Next up, the Guardians play the CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a Freelance bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Marshall Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 56-22 non-league loss to Trinity Christian Academy (Paris, TX).
