Nebraska High School Basketball - Ponca can't hold off Bloomfield

The Bloomfield Bees basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Ponca Indians to 53 in the Bees non-league victory on Friday.

The Bees now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elgin/Pope John for a D1 District 7 contest on Saturday, January 6. Bloomfield will battle a Wolfpack team coming off a 57-42 non-league loss to St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE). The Wolfpack record now stands at 10-1.

The Indians (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (Wakefield, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Wakefield edged Walthill (Walthill, NE), 74-28, in a non-league contest.
