The Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES ran past the visiting Bloomsburg Panthers basketball team by a final score of 43-24 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the RED TORNADOES face the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) in a Heartland III game, on Tuesday, January 9. Mount Carmel will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Defenders come into the battle with a 5-5 record after their 54-30 league loss to Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA).
The Panthers (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA). The Tigers come into the Heartland III battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Southern Columbia Area dropped by Hughesville (Hughesville, PA), 60-20, in a league battle.
