Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA), 58-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Gilbert upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Tigers host Carlisle (Carlisle, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Raccoon River bout on Thursday, January 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Toreadors play the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Boone will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 61-55 non-league win over Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA).
