With the victory, Brookhaven Academy upgrades its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Copiah Academy (Gallman, MS) to play the Colonels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 1-12. Copiah Academy lost 54-42 in their recent non-league bout against Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Oak Forest Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 66-46 league win over Silliman Institute (Clinton, LA).
