Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX) and the visiting Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, TX), saw Groesbeck's basketball squad topple Buffalo by a margin of 38-27.

The Goats (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Westwood (Palestine, TX). The Panthers go into the 3A Region III District 20 test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Westwood went down by Elkhart (Elkhart, TX), 42-25, in a league test.

The Bison now own a 7-15 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a 3A Region III District 20 test on Tuesday, January 9. Buffalo will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 66-29 league win over Teague (Teague, TX). The Lions record now stands at 14-5.
