Washington, DC High School Basketball - Burke knocked off by Model Secondary School for the Deaf

The Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Burke Bengals to 23 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sandy Spring Friends for a Potomac Valley contest on Monday, January 8. Model Secondary School for the Deaf will battle a Wildebeests team coming off a 60-20 non-league loss to Palm Beach Lakes (West Palm Beach, FL). The Wildebeests record now stands at 1-5.
The Bengals (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Spencerville Adventist Academy (Spencerville, MD). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Spencerville Adventist Academy was defeated by Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD), 71-6, in a non-league contest.
