California Condors (Whittier, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA), 46-37 in a league bout.

With the win, California upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Condors host Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, CA) to play the Chiefs in a Del Rio bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Santa Fe lost 47-41 in their recent league bout against La Serna (Whittier, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the El Rancho Dons (Pico Rivera, CA) in a Del Rio bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Whittier will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Dons go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 38-33 non-league win over Apple Valley (Apple Valley, CA).
