The River Road Wildcats basketball team (Amarillo, TX), was overwhelmed 68-20 in Friday's league battle with the host Canadian Wildcats (Canadian, TX)

The Wildcats now possess a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dalhart for a 3A Region I District 1 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Canadian will confront a Wolves team coming off a 49-18 league win over Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 9-6.

The Wildcats (5-18) will now prepare for their battle against Spearman (Spearman, TX). The Lynx come into the 3A Region I District 1 battle with a 16-4 record. In their last battle, Spearman trounced Bushland (Bushland, TX), 47-16, in a league battle.
