North Carolina High School Basketball - Carrboro can't hold off Vance County

The Carrboro Jaguars basketball team (Carrboro, NC), was nudged 48-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC)

The Vipers now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Vance County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 65-24 league loss to Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.

The Jaguars (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Vikings come into the 2A/3A Northern Lakes battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, South Granville edged J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC), 46-30, in a league battle.
