Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Saline Bobcats (Saline, LA), 40-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cedar Creek upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Cougars host Castor (Castor, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Castor won 61-11 in their recent non-league bout against Downsville (Downsville, LA)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Weston Wolves (Jonesboro, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Saline will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 48-35 non-league win over Jonesboro-Hodge (Jonesboro, LA).
