Center Roughriders (Center, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX), 55-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Center upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Roughriders host Henderson (Henderson, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Henderson won 44-37 in their recent league bout against Carthage (Carthage, TX)
Next up, the Buckeyes clash with the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Gilmer will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 30-27 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX).
