Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA), 64-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Waukon upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Crestwood (Cresco, IA) to play the Cadets in a Northeast Iowa bout on Friday, January 12. The Cadets come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Crestwood lost 66-60 in their recent league bout against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA)

Next up, the Comets play the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets (Iowa Falls, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Charles City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Cadets come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 66-33 league loss to Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA).
