The Charleston Tigers (Charleston, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting North Side Gators (Shelby, MS), 34-24 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers (12-2) will now prepare for their test against J.Z. George (North Carrollton, MS). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, J.Z. George went down by Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS), 63-36, in a league test.
The Gators now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Riverside for a 2A Region 3 outing on Tuesday, January 9. North Side will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-27 league win over Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.
