East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 55-9 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Rutherford upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 1-13. Patton lost 62-19 in their recent league bout against Brevard (Brevard, NC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 49-39 league win over Polk County (Columbus, NC).
