Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) and the host York Prep Patriots (Rock Hill, SC), saw Chesterfield's basketball squad knock off York Prep by a count of 52-39.

With the victory, Chesterfield upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Golden Rams host Cheraw (Cheraw, SC) to play the Braves in a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Cheraw won 55-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. York Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 31-6 non-league win over Berean Baptist Academy (Fayetteville, NC).
