Mississippi High School Basketball - Clarksdale knocked off by New Hope

The New Hope Trojans basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Clarksdale Wildcats to 28 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lafayette for a 5A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 9. New Hope will meet a Commodores team coming off a 67-33 non-league win over West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Commodores record now stands at 8-7.
The Wildcats (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against West Point (West Point, MS). The Green Wave enter the 5A Region 1 contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, West Point was defeated by Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 48-34, in a league contest.
