Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR), 42-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Glide upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Far West bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Sutherlin won 45-37 in their recent non-league bout against Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 65-11 league win over South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR).
