Morton Potters (Morton, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL), 57-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Morton upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Potters travel to Washington (Washington, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a Mid-Illini bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Washington won 48-41 in their recent non-league bout against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Dunlap will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Purple Raiders go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 58-32 league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL).
