Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) and the visiting Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR), saw North Eugene's basketball squad wallop Eagle Point by a count of 61-29.

With the victory, North Eugene upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Springfield (Springfield, OR) to play the Millers in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Millers come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Springfield lost 59-49 in their recent league challenge against Crater (Central Point, OR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Newberg Tigers (Newberg, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Eagle Point will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 35-20 non-league loss to Tualatin (Tualatin, OR).
