In Friday's league outing, the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) basketball squad felled the visiting Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), by a margin of 39-30.

The Bulldogs (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Worth County was beaten by Dodge County (Eastman, GA), 58-46, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Clinch County for a A D2 Region 2 outing on Tuesday, January 9. Echols County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 49-34 non-league loss to Coffee (Douglas, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.
