The Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) basketball knocked off the host Natchez Bulldogs (Natchez, MS), 56-38 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Golden Tornadoes go into the non-league test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Laurel notched a victory over East Central (Moss Point, MS), 70-23, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Provine for a 5A Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 9. Natchez will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 47-23 league loss to Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS). The Rams record now stands at 2-13.
