Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pearl River Central Blue Devils (Carriere, MS), 62-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Forest Hill upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Jim Hill (Jackson, MS) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Jim Hill lost 54-33 in their recent league bout against Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS) in a 6A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Pearl River Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 44-41 league win over Terry (Terry, MS).
