Virginia High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off Staunton River

The Staunton River Golden Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Franklin County Eagles to 41 in the Golden Eagles league victory on Friday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a Blue Ridge contest on Tuesday, January 9.
The Eagles (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers come into the Blue Ridge contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, William Byrd was nudged by Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 61-10, in a league contest.
