The The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX), 45-43 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region II District 9 test with a 7-16 record. In their last test, Lone Star got by Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX), 62-36, in a league test.

The Raccoons now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Wakeland for a 5A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, January 9. Frisco will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 48-35 league win over Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 19-6.
