Gateway Regional Gators (Woodbury Heights, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Paulsboro Red Raiders (Paulsboro, NJ), 55-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Gateway Regional upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Gators host Salem (Salem, NJ) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Salem won 45-19 in their recent league bout against Salem County Vo-Tech (Woodstown, NJ)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Triton Mustangs (Runnemede, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Paulsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 38-18 non-league loss to Timber Creek Regional (Erial, NJ).
