Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), 49-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Sumner upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Tigers host Machias (Machias, ME) to clash with the Bulldogs in a C North bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-1.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) in a C North bout, on Monday, January 8. George Stevens Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Golden Bucks go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 34-22 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME).
