Jefferson Township Falcons (Oak Ridge, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Glen Rock Panthers (Glen Rock, NJ), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson Township upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ) to confront the Tigers in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Hackettstown lost 66-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Belvidere (Belvidere, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Butler Bulldogs (Butler, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Glen Rock will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 46-15 non-league win over Hawthorne (Hawthorne, NJ).
