The Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) basketball nipped the host Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD), 57-53 in Friday's league test.
The Scorpions (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Long Reach (Columbia, MD). The Lightning go into the Howard County test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Long Reach was tipped by Atholton (Columbia, MD), 44-36, in a league test.
The Gladiators now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Wilde Lake for a Howard County test on Wednesday, January 10. Glenelg will encounter a Wildecats squad coming off a 57-8 league loss to Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Wildecats record now stands at 0-8.
