Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the host Graham Red Devils (Graham, NC), 59-17 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Northwood improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Chargers host Cummings (Burlington, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 0-8. Cummings lost 51-43 in their recent league challenge against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils play the North Moore Mustangs (Robbins, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina challenge, on Monday, January 8. Graham will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 70-13 league loss to Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC).
