Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wickliffe Blue Devils (Wickliffe, OH), 32-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Grand Valley upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Crestwood (Mantua, OH) to play the Red Devils in a Chagrin Valley - Valley bout on Thursday, January 11. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Crestwood lost 61-54 in their recent league bout against Berkshire (Burton, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem (University Heights, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Wickliffe will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Mayhem go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 42-30 non-league win over HEARTS for Jesus Christ (North Olmsted, OH).
