In Friday's league outing, the Weston-McEwen TigerScots (Athena, OR) basketball squad edged the visiting Heppner Mustangs (Heppner, OR), by a count of 48-45.
The TigerScots (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Stanfield (Stanfield, OR). The Tigers go into the 2A Blue Mountain outing with a 8-3 record. In their last outing, Stanfield held off Irrigon (Irrigon, OR), 59-27, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now hold a 12-3 record. They play next when they host Grant Union for a 2A Blue Mountain outing on Saturday, January 6. Heppner will clash with a Prospectors squad coming off a 54-20 league loss to Enterprise (Enterprise, OR). The Prospectors record now stands at 1-14.
