The Homestead Highlanders (Mequon, WI) basketball nipped the host Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes (Whitefish Bay, WI), 68-61 in Friday's league test.

The Highlanders (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Grafton (Grafton, WI). The Black Hawks go into the North Shore test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Grafton got by Port Washington (Port Washington, WI), 71-43, in a league test.

The Blue Dukes now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Nicolet for a North Shore test on Tuesday, January 9. Whitefish Bay will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 57-53 league loss to Slinger (Slinger, WI). The Knights record now stands at 4-10.
