Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 68-7 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hunt upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to play the Saints in a 3A Quad County bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 5-7. Southern Wayne won 49-39 in their recent league bout against West Johnston (Benson, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Fike Demons (Wilson, NC) in a 3A Quad County bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Smithfield-Selma will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Demons come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 48-39 league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
