Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Pineville Mountain Lions (Pineville, KY), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jackson County upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Generals travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to play the Jaguars in a District 49 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 9-3.

Next up, the Mountain Lions play the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Pineville will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record.
