The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Utica Redskins to 38 in the Johnnies league triumph on Friday.
The Johnnies now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zanesville for a Licking County - Buckeye contest on Tuesday, January 9. Johnstown-Monroe will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 59-33 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-11.
The Redskins (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Licking Valley (Newark, OH). The Panthers enter the Licking County - Buckeye contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Licking Valley was defeated by Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH), 35-23, in a league contest.
