Iowa High School Basketball - Winfield-Mt. Union knocked off by Lone Tree

The Lone Tree Lions basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves to 46 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbus for a SEI - North contest on Tuesday, January 9. Lone Tree will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 44-11 league win over Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-4.
The Wolves (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Mediapolis was defeated by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 57-26, in a non-league contest.
