Maple Mountain Golden Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Salem Hills Skyhawks (Salem, UT), 46-29 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Maple Mountain improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT) to confront the Aviators in a 5A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Aviators come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Cedar Valley lost 43-42 in their recent league challenge against Timpview (Provo, UT)

Next up, the Skyhawks confront the Timpview Thunderbirds (Provo, UT) in a 5A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Salem Hills will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 43-42 league win over Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT).
