The Tri-County Penguins basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Marion Mustangs to 34 in the Penguins non-league triumph on Friday.

The Penguins now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Port Edwards for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Tri-County will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 43-39 league loss to Rosholt (Rosholt, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 0-11.

The Mustangs (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Manawa (Manawa, WI). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Manawa was nudged by Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI), 73-41, in a league contest.
