The Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) basketball knocked off the host Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX), 56-36 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (14-12) will now prepare for their test against Keene (Keene, TX). The Chargers go into the 3A Region III District 17 test with a 16-8 record. In their last test, Keene went down by Clifton (Clifton, TX), 50-42, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host West for a 3A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, January 9. Whitney will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 47-42 league win over Grandview (Grandview, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 21-1.
