Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Winchester Community Golden Falcons (Winchester, IN), 54-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Golden Bears host Union City (Union City, IN) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Union City won 52-38 in their recent non-league bout against Union (Modoc, IN)

Next up, the Golden Falcons play the Centerville Bulldogs (Centerville, IN) in a Tri-Eastern bout, on Thursday, January 11. Winchester Community will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-15 record after their 69-23 non-league loss to Northeastern (Fountain City, IN).
