Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) and the visiting Odessa Bronchos (Odessa, TX), saw Permian's basketball squad overcome Odessa by a tally of 53-40.

With the victory, Permian improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Frenship (Wolfforth, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 22-3. Frenship lost 51-49 in their recent league challenge against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Bronchos confront the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Odessa will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 55-44 league loss to Midland Legacy (Midland, TX).
