Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), 53-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Patrick County upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to play the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers bout on Monday, January 8. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Floyd County won 54-35 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a Three Rivers bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Radford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 54-20 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA).
