Royalton Royals (Royalton, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN), 60-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Royalton upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Royals host Mora (Mora, MN) to play the Mustangs in a AA Section 6 bout on Monday, January 8. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Mora lost 83-23 in their recent league bout against Albany (Albany, MN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Litchfield Dragons (Litchfield, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Paynesville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
