Iowa High School Basketball - Pekin can't hold off WACO

The WACO Warriors basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Pekin Panthers to 35 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New London for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. WACO will battle a Tigers team coming off a 84-21 league loss to Notre Dame (Burlington, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-10.
The Panthers (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sigourney (Sigourney, IA). The Savages enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Sigourney nudged B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA), 52-28, in a league contest.
