Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Shaw Warriors (Shaw, MS) and the visiting West Bolivar Eagles (Rosedale, MS), saw Shaw's basketball squad wallop West Bolivar by a tally of 60-26.

With the victory, Shaw improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Warriors host West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS) to play the Choctaws in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Choctaws come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. West Tallahatchie won 44-42 in their recent league challenge against Leland (Leland, MS)

Next up, the Eagles play the Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. West Bolivar will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record.
