The Tatum Eagles (Tatum, TX) basketball crushed the host Waskom Wildcats (Waskom, TX), 70-34 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (19-1) will now prepare for their test against West Rusk (New London, TX). The Raiders go into the 3A Region II District 16 test with a 6-16 record. In their last test, West Rusk was trounced by Jefferson (Jefferson, TX), 61-44, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Troup for a 3A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, January 9. Waskom will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 49-7 league win over Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 11-9.
