Taylor Tigers (Taylor, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Side Christian Warriors (El Dorado, AR), 48-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Taylor upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Tigers host Kirby (Kirby, AR) to clash with the Trojans in a 1A Region 7 bout on Monday, January 8. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Kirby won 48-45 in their recent league bout against Bradley (Bradley, AR)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights (Bryant, AR) in a Heartland Christian bout, on Tuesday, January 9. West Side Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 45-31 league win over Abundant Life (North Little Rock, AR).
