The Vestavia Hills Rebels basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Tuscaloosa County Wildcats to 29 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.
The Rebels now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoover for a 7A Area 5 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Vestavia Hills will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 55-22 league win over Thompson (Alabaster, AL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-4.
The Wildcats (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Thompson (Alabaster, AL). The Warriors enter the 7A Area 5 contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Thompson was routed by Hoover (Hoover, AL), 55-22, in a league contest.
